NOVRITSCH SSP1 Airsoft Pistol – Preorder
The NOVRITSCH SSP1 is a preupgraded Gas Blow Back Pistol which can be operated with both CO2 (1,2J / 360 fps) and Gas (0.8J / 310fps).
It is an out of the box solution and doesn’t need any further modification or tuning. It is built to last and it will not let you down when you need it.
Includes: Guncase, Pistol, Magazine
Magazine Capacity: 31 BBs
Due to US law, every SSP1 comes with an orange tip glued into the outer barrel thread. An outer barrel without orange tip is available here.
If you just play above 10°C(50°F) get the Gas magazine. If you also want to use it below 10°C(50°F) get the CO2 magazine. The pistol will be the same both ways.
How To Order
The preorders for SSP1 placed now will get shipped out approximately at the beginning of June 2019 .
A pistol to rely on
I need my pistol to shoot at any circumstances once I draw it. Too many times my sidearms let me down with light striking, broken slides and trigger sears. My mission was clear. I wanted to create my own pistol - and I learned very quickly that the Glock platform didn't have enough reliability potential.
No light striking and the high 31 rounds magazine capacity made me choose the hi-capa base.
And from there it was a long journey of trial and error to create my perfect partner on the field. The NOVRITSCH SSP1.
The CNC finished aluminum slide comes with serrations, for easy gun manipulation. Drilled fluted grooves on the CNC machined aluminum outer barrel give the SSP1 the indistinguishable NOVRITSCH look. It is threaded and can be equipped with a thread adapter for mounting tracer units or suppressors. Every SSP1 comes with an individual serial number laser engraved into the CNC finished metal frame.
Due to the extended slidecatch, speed reloads are much easier to perform. The rough texture of the polymer grip feels great in your hands and makes sure that you are in control of your sidearm even with gloves on.
Both the adjustable front sight and the rear sight have white marks for fast target acquisition. With the ambidextrous safety, the SSP1 can be used by both left and right-handed shooters. Additionally, the functional grip safety makes sure that the SSP1 can only be fired when held properly.
To maximize the lifetime of the SSP-1, its hammer and sears are made of hardened steel for enhanced durability and reliability.
The high pressure of a CO2 cartridge puts a lot of stress onto the nozzle of any gas blowback pistol. That's why the nozzle of the SSP1 is made of a highly durable polymer that can withstand these forces with ease.
The 31 rounds magazines come with a beefy rubber lip seal for improved gas efficiency. The high pressure of the CO2 magazine results in 1.2 Joule muzzle energy, lets the SSP1 perform very reliable even at cold temperatures.
The Gas magazine provides 0.8 Joules with Nuprol Red Gas. The smaller fps are great for smaller minimal engagement distances at CQB areas.
The purple hopup rubber of the SSP1 is made of a soft silicone which leads to a consistent performance barely dependent on the rubbers temperature. This in combination with the precise manufactured inner barrel makes for great accuracy. The adjustable metal hopup chamber is equipped with a guidebolt that stabilizes the spring guide for a smooth cycling slide.
The SSP1 comes in a foam padded hardshell guncase with two locking points. Included additionally to the pistol is a magazine of your choice (GAS or CO2) and a manual that includes a link to the exclusive NOVRITSCH SSP-1 video academy. The videos will not just show you how to maintain and disassemble your SSP1 but also how to manipulate it to be as efficient on the field as possible.
There is lots of accessories available for the SSP1 such as a Pistol Flashlight, a Toprail, a Thread Adapter, a Tracer Unit, an Enlarged Magwell and a Micro Reddot. Spareparts will also be available soon to make sure that your SSP1 will serve you for a long time.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do You ship to my state?
The SSP1 is shipped from our warehouse in Pennsylvania to every state in the US.
I have a question about the gun in any way
What if something breaks? Will spareparts be available?
Yes, spareparts will be available here. Just like on the SSG24 I will offer the spareparts that are needed the most. Also there will be videos on how the parts are exchanged.
Should I buy CO2 or Gas?
There is no definite answer to this question. General rule of thumb is: If you want to also play below 10°C - go for CO2. Otherwise go for Gas since it is cheaper.
I am new to airsoft - is this gun for me?
The SSP-1 is a high-quality gun for a very affordable price, if you are planning to play in CQB or you need a sidearm for your sniper - the SSP-1 is the right gun for you.

I can honestly recommend the SSP1
I have a batch 1 SSP1 which I have used extensively now in both of England’s seasons which are warm(ish) and rainy and cold and rainy!
My first impressions where good. It’s a solid feeling pistol with a substantial grip and a good weight to it with a magazine inserted.
The pistol grip is stippled slightly which helps to provide a nice level of grip in a gloved hand without it shredding the palm. I’m not a fan of the grip safety but have not had any issues with it if it’s held properly as it is effortless to actuate.
Straight out of the box, this pistol shoots very well. I use .28’s and currently have the hop dial at around the first third of its travel meaning it’ll handle heavier bb’s than that with relative ease.
The range is good and have managed good accuracy at 40+ meters without having to arc the shots which is perfect for a pistol.
I use green gas magazines and have three of them. Each one feeds well with no issues, and only one has had a minor leak which was solved by tightening the filler valve. The weak point of the magazines I’ve found is the baseplate pin which is a spring loaded plastic pin and has snapped on one of the magazines but has not caused any issues because of it.
I am an Airsoft tech with my own company, and as such, my own pistols/AEG’s/rifles tend to get torture tested as finding the time to keep my own gear in tip-top condition is hard! I have yet to do anything to this pistol. I mean nothing at all! It’s fallen down muddy slopes, I’ve thrown it to teammates who can’t catch, and I’ve tripped over onto it more times than I care to own up to and it is still cycling perfectly and looks pretty fresh considering!
Overall, the SSP1 is a solid choice for a sidearm which has yet to let me down. I have since fitted the cutout slide and short stroke kit and with the trigger set at a sensitive level, has made this very snappy to fire follow up shots.
I get a lot of people to come up to me at skirmishes saying “oh dear, you got the Novritsch pistol?!” But after a few test shots, nearly everyone turned around to say “fair enough, that is pretty good!”
I contacted customer support for a fault I had with the cylinder of my SSG24. There was a manufacturing defect on the cylinder which caused it to cut deep, rough grooves into my glide rings. I sent them a picture of the faulty part and the damaged glide rings and in turn, was sent two sets of glide rings (I have 2 SSGs) as well as some complimentary BBs which I thought was a nice touch. New glide rings fitted to both rifles and all is moving nicely now.
I can honestly recommend the SSP1 for a reliable and accurate sidearm. I was incredibly fortunate enough that the day I first looked at the Novritsch website was the day the SSP1 was released, and so I lucked out and got a batch one order in on time. That being said, I’d be happy to wait for it on preorder.

NOVRITSCH HAS DONE IT AGAIN
The ssp1 is a brilliant sidearm for a sniper. It’s super loud and scars the living crap out of players (on both sides). I currently own the co2 version of the ssp1 ( co2 mags) and I’m loving every minute I use it. It’s easy to disassemble and leaves an astonishing feel with every shot that you take. The recoil is solid and crisp. I can only imagine the short stroke kit being installed on this superb sidearm. The only downside I have with this is the orange tip issue. Meaning its super, super, super tight.
You could let it soak in boiling water or simply buy the outer barrel part also included on novritsch.com. other than that I’ve had no issues with the ssp1 and the mag issues. I personally have never, ever had any leak issues with my co2 mags. I do know others had this issue and there is a page on Facebook for the ssp1 owners. Where you can ask any questions at any time and other owners help you out with questions. Even Novritsch himself jumps in and helps out. It’s an amazing community. I’ve made a lot of friends there. Novritsch is very in touch with this group and because of this he has heard of the leaky issues and investigated into this issue. He then found a solution and help everyone out. So not only is buying the ssp1 worth it there’s people who are experts such as Novritsch that can help improve your experience even further than before. So if this alone doesn’t sound like high-quality support then I don’t know what does.
Even if you don’t have Facebook the customer service is also just as friendly and helpful. I don’t normally have any issues or concerns with the product. I may ask about some product to get a better understanding of them before I buy them. And they seem pretty knowledgeable and extremely helpful. They haven’t let me down yet. All I can say in a nutshell is the ssp1 is great all around. My only warning to anyone buying this ssp1 is buying heavy bbs. I’m talking anything between .25bbs to .30bbs. I personally stretched it to .45bbs and saw the same accuracy as the .30. It saved me money when I was low on pistol bbs. So it’s nice to know the ssp1 can handle. .46 with no issues. But I do recommend at least .28 or .30 with the ssp1 for maximum experience.

Pretty amazing accuracy
I’ve owned a lot of different pistols from a TM Gold Match, SAI DS2011, TM MK23, to various AW models and even some AEPs but none of them have provided the end user support that I’ve received from Novritsch and team. This is the main reason why I continue to purchase Novritsch parts and accessories. His company is one of the very few that provides videos on how to take down and replace parts in his replicas. The team’s ability to respond to questions in a timely manner takes it to the next level of customer service. You feel like you are a valued customer…even if you’re a 1000 miles away.
I’ve learned more from his videos that have helped me troubleshoot other types of pistols and rifles. This is a sport that requires word of mouth and honest people willing to help people of all ages to enjoy the activity. I’ve been able to fix other users pistols on the field and get them back in the game thanks to his videos. The smile and thanks from these players make it priceless to me.
As for the actual review of the pistol, I had initial issues with it not loading bbs properly in the green gas mags, but the time it took to fix it on my own, led me to understand how the magazines work. From making sure the gas valves are secure and tightened to the spring guide, all of this I learned from his videos. The quality of the product is top notch. The metal is sturdy and can take a lot of rough handling. It doesn’t feel as cheap or weak as some of my AW models.
The ssp1 has no issues using my TM Hi Capa magazines, AW magazines or my SAI DS 2011 magazines. Even the extended 50 round magazine by AW works perfectly. Nice to be able to use those plus any co2 mags without having to worry about damaging the internals like I would if I use my TM Gold Match Hi Capa.
The first time I had the opportunity to take it out to the field I was hitting a 2 inch metal pipe about 40 meters away using my offhand — pretty amazing accuracy.
I recently purchased the short stroke kit and new red and green front sights. Again, from watching his videos, now I understand more about taking down the pistol and accessing the blowback unit and changing out the sights. The snappiness of the pistol is notably increased. I have yet to fully test green gas efficiency, but I’m able to get through a mag with ease now with no noticeable slowdown. Besides, I always refill in between matches. It locks back after the last bb is fired and the grooves on the side of the upper receiver of the pistol make priming it easier. No more accidental slips and partial cocking of the pistol.
The green front sight is what I ended up on, and though I wish it included a tool to tighten the screw, .9mm will do, it makes target acquisition so much easier for me. Very bright and easy to see in office lighting and even brighter out in the sun.
Since I’m left-handed, I ended up using the Blackhawk omnivore holster, and it works fine with the SSP1.

I can say nothing less than “wow”
Hello, airsoft world!
Having already reviewed a lot of airsoft guns and having the SSP1 in my hands from the first day it was released I think it’s my turn to review it.
The first thing you notice on the ssp1 is that it comes in a plastic case to ensure that it will not be damaged during the shipping. Thumbs up for that! At first, you feel like holding a real pistol; you can notice that it has a nice weight balance in your grip, it is full metal, excellent quality material in and out, solid and there is no wobbling. As you can see on the photos, I’ve been using it for a long time and under extreme conditions, throwing down pistol and mags (sorry nov), playing, etc. and I wasn’t really thinking about it because I realized that is durable and I don’t need to be worried. I use the Cytac holster that fits perfectly, but I can’t say the same for the Amomax holster.
They have already upgraded the most critical parts on a GBB pistol to make it work and shoot great. And if you ask me – yes, it does shoot perfectly! The hop up can hop max 0.40gr bbs, and you can see the bb flying straight hitting a torso target at 60m! It’s reliable and it has never failed me when I need it. I like the option of green gas and CO2, the adjustable trigger, and the new aftermarket short stroke, lightweight slide.
Last but not least it offers you a wide variety of aftermarket parts like a flashlight, laser, red dot, tracer, magwell and more to customize it as you like. No need to say more it is always there to shoot steady and with great consistency after thousands of shots that I have made. I recommend it as the price is decent!
If I had to mention some negatives, I would say that it is heavy, specific for someone he used to play with a plastic slide pistol, and the grip is wider than the standard size so not suitable for small handed players.
Αs for the customer support I can say nothing less than “wow”. Quick response, willing to help you on every question or problem, replace any part that may get damaged, offering detailed videos about almost all the products, and of course a great community on facebook from where Novritsch takes all the feedback and keeps improving the products.

Realism in both performance and appearance!
Having already purchased Novritsch’s SSG24 and seeing the performance that rifle offered; I knew the SSP-1 would be a solid sidearm choice…. and boy was I right!!!
I decided to purchase the SSP-1 when the first batch became available online and was surprised to have it in my hands just ONE week later. I have wanted a C02 gun for a while now! (I play in Ireland, where the temperatures get quite low in winter). I was delightfully surprised when I opened it as both the gun and case were of very high quality. Its realistic weight and powder coat finish were super effective in giving it that real steel feel.
But above all else what really stood out for me… was how this gun felt when fired! It really lets you know it’s there with every crisp trigger pull thanks to its snappy recoil. This guns performance is by far its’ best trait. Despite our cold Irish weather, it functions consistently without the loss of much FPS when used with C02 mags. It shoots as straight as an arrow thanks to its superb hop up (a trait it took from its’ bigger bother the SSG-24).
I would recommend this gun to anyone who wants a solid, responsive sidearm. This gun will remain with me for a long time to come on all my future airsoft adventures in both Ireland and around the world.
(If you want proof, check me out using it on my channel Fox Green and see for yourself!)

There is no doubt that the SSP1 is rock solid
I have had The SSP1 for four months now and would like to share some thoughts on it.
There is no doubt that the SSP1 is rock solid. I lost it in the grass on a field in January. It was laying there for a week in the rain and frost degrees but luckily I found it again, changed the Co2 capsule, and it just worked as nothing had happened, there was no rust on it, neither on the internal parts.
The gun shoots accurately and has only encountered feeding problems once, but that was due to low-quality BB’s.
The few issues I have encountered is the front sight which was a bit lose and felt off after some games, so I had to order a new one, the other thing is the painting on the gun falling off very quickly if you use The Cytac/Amomax holster. For me, it doesn’t matter, since it does not affect the functionality of the gun.
All in all, I love this pistol, it looks cool, it shoots well, it’s rock solid, and the feeling when the slide goes back after a shoot is incredible but is also a bit heavier, so beware of that.
My only suggestions I have is to use quality BB’s, so you don’t experience feeding problems and watch the maintenance video, it helped me since I found out a pistol can catch a lot of dirt during a game.
The shop is straightforward and easy to get around and find the stuff you need, and it’s nice to have all you need for airsoft sniping on one website. I love that they are so quick to ship my orders, fast as lightning!
